A garden, is beautiful for your soul and community. Even more beneficial is a garden that yields food. As a girl, I dreamed of having a great flower garden as a woman. I could see myself in peace (and with wine lmfao). Recently I have started to realize that dream with my own home vegetable garden. I know right, heeeyyyyyyy!!!! Anyways as soon as

I went hand to soil and was learning the earth and creating with my own hands, it was a feeling that is indescribable.

I am advocating that everyone take the time to experience this. There is more than ever an appreciation for those with a green thumb, why not try your luck at gardening? It could be a help to your community and a family project for the kids.

If there's any interest in gardening, here is a simple beginner friendly guide:

Research and find out which vegetable that interest you and are good to harvest in your environment. Also try to get an understanding of where you wanna plot your garden. I found my best space based on the moisture of ground and how much sunlight that spot would get everyday.

Make a list for the ground amendments (I feel proud to use these term in a different way - I'm a growing gardener). Head to your most accessible outdoor store and gather your supplies. When gathering amendments, keep in mind what areas your ground needs work in- like moisture and nutrients. If you find worms and creature while digging your own ground, you're in a vegetable garden goldmine.

Turn your ground shaping an easy 4 by 4 ft enclosure out of the tilled dirt. I felt very confident when I went kind of deep into the earth because I'm planting a in ground garden, raised beds require less turning. I went about 5 inches into the ground for my own comfort maybe it isn't necessary, but I want the best rate of success.

Mix amendments and wet the ground to make it easy to mold.

Pre-dig your whole for each implant. Make your rows look like little invert ant hills.

Drop a seed and plant food in each hole and tightly cover it back up with dirt.

Generously water your plot

Check and water everyday, adding nutrients when needed.

If I have missed a step, I'll be sure to amend this post as I am a new gardener :-).
